Show #575: Recent Releases from Archeophone!

Tune in August 19 for some truly vintage recordings on Adventures in Sound!

We'll hear music from the 90s & 00s...the 1890s & 1900s!

Show #574: Marc Fort!

My friend Marc Forst was my special guest on August 12.

Marc does marketing and outreach for the Texas Music Office, and had lots of great stories about his work (and travels!)

He also has toured extensively in bands, and played lots of cool, fun records on the show.

And his birthday was a few days after the show; Happy Birthday Marc!

Show #573: Colin Hancock

My friend Colin Hancock was my special guest on August 5.

Colin is a multi-instrumenalist, historian, and record collector.  Not only does he collect cylinder recordings, but he also RECORDS music using this 19th century technology.

Belated thanks to Tim Hertenberger!

A huge, way over due thank you to Mr. Tim Hertenberger!

Tim filled in for me on July 29, and did a fine show (my former apprentice Amy Frishkey engineered it; so proud of her!)

You can hear Tim on Thursdays, 11 a.m. to noon, with American Pop.  He and Louis Harrison celebrate the Great American Songbook.
