Teams and Area Coordinators
As a cooperative, KOOP uses a team-based approach. Listed below are the various teams and a short description of the team's duties. If you'd like to get involved with a team, just contact the Volunteer Coordinator. No prior experience necessary - just enthusiasm.
Office duties including data entry, publications, public relations, office duties, mail, translations, etc.
Planning, organizing and executing KOOP promotional events, fundraisers and benefits.
Board of Directors
Board and board subcommittee projects.
Cleaning and Recycling
Office and studio cleanup and daily maintenance.
Community Council activities including meetings, community outreach projects, and related.
Elections Oversight Committee
Oversees elections including the Annual Elections, Programming Committee elections, and vacancy elections.
Research grant opportunities, writing and editing proposals.
Information Technology (IT)
Maintains web site, and internal computing systems including office computers, servers and network operations.
Phone answering, choreography, food pickup, mailings, etc.
Music Library and Show Substitutions
Review CDs; organize and maintain the KOOP music library.
Oversees our playlist reporting, manages accounts at our off-site playlist reporting partner.
Recording of pre-programmed material including underwriting announcements (UAs), public service announcements (PSAs), promos, and more.
Program scheduling, reviews, and more.
Tabling and other on-site promotion of KOOP at community events.
Acquiring, updating, constructing and maintenance of studios, production and transmission equipment
Training of new and continuing programmers.
Underwriting and Promotions
New underwriting, business memberships, and benefits card partners
Coordinates volunteer efforts at KOOP, acts as liaison between staff, day-to-day operations, and Area Coordinators
Volunteer Hours Reporting
Maintains and helps users with the volunteer hours reporting system.
