We're interested in recordings that feature one or more musicians who live (or have lived) in the Austin area, or recordings featuring compositions written or co-written by those who live or have lived in the Austin area. (If the Austin connection may be obscure, please make it clear to us!)
We're open to all genres (and we mean it) and several formats such as vinyl, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, keeping in mind that not all CD-Rs and CD-RWs play in all CD players. We don't have a mini-disc player at our new studio, and cassettes can be played but are discouraged so that we can leave the cassette player free for recording. If you absolutely can't get us hard copies of recordings, you can email me at austinmusic@koop.org with an attachment of any digital format that we can convert to CD format in Windows Media Player, or you can email me a link to such a downloadable format.
It is recommended you provide at least two copies of your recording so that we have a copy available for anyone who wants to review it for placement into our studio library, and so that we also have a floating copy available for show preparation off-site by any deejay who requests it.
Additional copies may also be used for on-air give-aways or membership drive premiums.
