People United recognizes late June for the anniversaries of the 2013 "People's Filibuster" at the Texas State Capitol and the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York's Greenwich Village. It begins with a press conference about the "Fight Back Texas" campaign and website, moderated by Ed Espinoza of the Texas Research Institute, and featuring Terri Burke of the ACLU of Texas, Heather Busby of NARAL Pro-Choice Texas, Amy Hagstrom Miller of Whole Women's Health, and Kathy Miller of the Texas Freedom Network. The episode goes on to feature speeches from the 2014 Queerbomb gathering in Austin, hosted by its co-founder Paul Soileau, and featuring disc jockey Collin Bass, Queerbomb Dallas co-organizer Meg Hargis, musician Gretchen Phillips, performance artist Althea Trix, and visual artist Claudia Zapata.
