HOW AUSTIN CAN HELP HURRICANE HARVEY SURVIVORS

Many of the Houston and surrounding area evacuees are staying in Austin currently. If you are interested in helping, please note that Mayor Adler’s office is asking on behalf of the Austin Disaster Relief Network to make 600 Welcome kits and donate 500 animal crates for displaced animals.

1. Welcome kits – these items contained in reusable bags or plastic container
with lid:

 Towel
 Washcloth
 Soap
 Tissue
 Toothbrush
 Toothpaste
 Deodorant
 Feminine Products
 Shampoo
 Comb
 Blanket

 Pillow
 Wipes
 Baby Bottles/Formula
 Diapers
 Baby Food 
 A note of encouragement

2. Austin Animal Center needs 500 large crates plus used sheets and towels to line the crates. You can drop those off at the Austin Animal Center, 7201 Levander Loop, Austin, TX 78702, 11am - 7pm, seven days a week.
