This section covers the nitty-gritty operational details of KOOP and is generally oriented towards internal information for our volunteers and programmers. If you don't see a listing of additional categories below, please contact the webmasters to make sure you've been added to the volunteers group.
KOOP is an all volunteer organization except for a few dedicated paid staff who handle the administrative organizational duties and overall operation of the station. The bulk of the work is done by our volunteer members, many of which are our on-air DJs.
KOOP is generally a democratically run cooperative. The members elect our Board of Directors, Community Council and Programming Committee. These bodies make decisions and advise the organization with an emphasis on organizational transparency and involvement of our members, programmers and volunteers. The Executive Director is hired by the Board and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization.
