He started performing in public in Southern California
at the age of 11. In high school he was accompanying blues icons such as Big Joe Turner and T Bone Walker and later was a founding member of the seminal American roots band The Blasters in the late 1970s. The Austin-based boogie woogie and blues piano master discusses his career with host Dave Barber .
