Woodstock 50th Anniversary Tribute Concert
Austin Public Library & KOOP will share peace, love and air conditioning as we host a special indoor Woodstock tribute concert on Saturday, August 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Austin Central Library to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic celebration that took place in August 1969 in Bethel, New York. Can't attend in person? No worries! The performances will also be broadcast live over the airwaves at 91.7 FM & www.koop.org.
The local lineup will be headlined by Guy Forsyth and will feature artists from Electric Lady Bird, APL’s streaming music platform: Sho Humphries, Deezie Brown, SaulPaul, Sarah Sharp, Brian Scartocci, Bob Cheevers, and Rochelle and the Sidewinders.
While you're waiting for the Woodstock Tribute concert to start, chill outside the event center from 1 to 2 p.m. with some groovy ice cream and make fab spin art craft. With the magical spin art machine, LPs and 78RPM records will be transformed into works of art for you to take home.
