KOOP Radio presents a special benefit screening of the documentary END OF THE CENTURY: THE STORY OF THE RAMONES in honor of Joey Ramone’s birthday. The show will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar at 7pm on Sunday, May 19th.

Before the film, KOOP will also present live DJ sets, a silent auction benefiting KOOP radio and other activities at The Highball (adjacent to Alamo South Lamar) from 5-6:30pm.

The Singer and the Song welcomes Austin singer/songwriter Bonnie Whitmore. There ain't nobody quite like Bonnie in the Austin music scene, she marches to her own tunes, which are pretty great. Austin Artists welcomes military art therapist Peter Buotte, Monday, May 13th  at 1:00 PM. Buotte is a US military Veteran with 5 combat tours, 2 art exchanges in Paris Ecole de Beaux Arts, and currently the only art therapist at Ft Hood military base processing combat trauma with active duty service members.Peter shares some of his story, insights into the work he does, art therapy, current sculptural project with Veterans 'Spirit of Survival' + the upcoming Austin Veterans Art Fest.
