KOOP is proud to present The Bulb Story Slam at 7:30 PM on Monday, March 25th at Ground Floor Theatre (979 Springdale Rd #122). In this storytelling competition, eight performers will share true stories from their own lives, and then be judged on the strength of their stories and storytelling ability. The winners will receive acclaim, plus $100 in cash prizes and a chance to participate in the Bulb Slam Finals at the end of the year. Each month’s stories will share a theme.. The theme for March is "I Should Have Stayed Home"

KOOP is proud to present Sheverb on Saturday, March 23 from 7 to 10 pm, in partnership with Barrel O' Fun at Alamo Drafthouse Mueller. Sheverb is an all-Ladies, collectively run, psychedelic desert rock band based in Austin, TX. Out to challenge the masculine mythology of the romanticized old west, they blend the guitar twang of spaghetti westerns, the driving rhythms of krautrock and the confident swagger of blues. The Singer and the Song has another cool doubleheader this week, with great Texas singer/songwriters. First up at 2pm, it's Walt and Tina Wilkins, who make beautiful music both together and apart, as they have for years. And it's Walt's birthday!
