The show 'Austin Artists' features conversations with Austin area Artists and Arts Organizations about the work they do. It is open to all Arts and all People of all backgrounds and all levels of education, experience and exposure. Created, produced and co~hosted by Art Smith out of a genuine passion for the Arts, Education, Advocacy and Community and we are happy to serve the community and appreciate all the kind comments and encouragement.
Culminating a week long exhibition, art sale and poster give-away Peter Max greeted visitors at the Russell Gallery on West Sixth Street this weekend. KOOP and the Austin Artists Show participated in a signed poster give away during the week and congratulates all of those who called in. We hope to have a few to add to our Fall Membership Drive thank you gifts.

Austin’s most intriguing people and issues...the queer culture that makes Austin unique. Listen for interviews, news and events of interest to the LGBT Community and our allies. The mission of OutCast is to provide a resource for LGBT Austin, building community through a weekly forum for the exchange of information and ideas.
On Friday, August 19, The Blood Center Of Central Texas will have their Blood Mobile in the KOOP parking lot from 3:00-5:30PM. We are looking for 22 donors to come on down and give the gift of life.

When President Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act into law in July of 1990, since known as the ADA, he ensured the civil rights of people with disabilities. KOOP Radio switched over to solar power on March 10, 2016 at high noon in Austin, Texas. After many volunteer hours and generous equipment contributions, the KOOP broadcasting studio received its first solar electrons!
