The Harms

Saturday 4/20, 7:00pm

In partnership with Barrel O' Fun at Alamo Drafthouse Mueller, KOOP Radio is proud to present Austin Psych quartet The Harms with live art visuals by Grace Reyer. Free entry. April 20th - two sets 7-9pm. / 21+ / Alamo menu available About The Harms... This rock quartet from Austin, TX is all-female, and that’s no accident. But don’t get it twisted...that’s not their focus. They want you to forget about that. Their hybrid sound is fueled by classic Psych, Surf, and ‘60s/’70s R&B. Their other influences include Jazz, Punk, and Afrobeat, which definitely creep into the arrangements. Their sound is timeless and retro, and their music’s message gives you that "tingly truth feeling" inside. The band was founded in 2012 when Chase Frank constructed a loose collection of songs for a new project--stories about sordid women--a subject as old as time. You can hear their releases here: https://theharms.bandcamp.com/. The Harms members: Chase Frank (Gtr, vox), Amy Frishkey (keys, vox), Rachel Allred (bass), Ren Lewis (drums) Photo credit: Magnetic Focus Photography, Austin, TX Tune into The Harms page or check in here - We will be live streaming portions of the set!
