Austin Artists welcomes military art therapist Peter Buotte, Monday, May 13th  at 1:00 PM. Buotte is a US military Veteran with 5 combat tours, 2 art exchanges in Paris Ecole de Beaux Arts, and currently the only art therapist at Ft Hood military base processing combat trauma with active duty service members.Peter shares some of his story, insights into the work he does, art therapy, current sculptural project with Veterans 'Spirit of Survival' + the upcoming Austin Veterans Art Fest. KOOP Radio & Self Sabotage Records, in partnership with Barrel O' Fun at Alamo Drafthouse Mueller, present the troubadour Adam Ostrar and drummer extraordinaire Aaron Parks; each will play a solo set and then they will join together for an improvisational duo set. The Singer and the Song welcomes Austin singer/songwriter Jan Seides. Jan's love of music inspired her to take her own music all over the stylistic map, as her material includes torch songs, Biblical stories, songs in Yiddish, and so much more. Actually, to be honest, Austin has become quite the second home for this outstanding singer/songwriter, and he Peter Blackstock's Artist of the Month recently in the Austin American Statesman. Pat writes and sings like the best of Texas artists (but with a cool Irish accent), as you will hear when he performs his music live for us the whole hour on KOOP, 91.7 FM and koop.org, 3-4pm, Saturday, May 4th.
