'Austin Artists' observes Mental Health awareness month, Self Care awareness month, and Suicide prevention month and will be joined by the good folks from SIMS FOUNDATION and  ART SPARK TEXAS. We'll hear from each organization as they share news, information, resources, upcoming events and opportunities to support the work they do in the community, Plus some laughs with Comedy performances. Monday, September 9 at 1pm.

The Singer and the Song welcomes a full band performance from the Coffee Sergeants. It's a thrill to have this historic Austin psychedelic band, still making great music as they have for THIRTY YEARS now, in fact, that's what they're celebrating right now! The whole band will play for us the whole hour on KOOP 91.7 FM and koop.org, 3-4pm, Saturday, September 7th. People United features writer and activist Dylan Eldredge Fitzwater on his book Autonomy Is in Our Hearts: Zapatista Autonomous Government through the Lens of the Tsotsil Language, explaining what he learned about indigenous language and philosophy in the central highlands of Chiapas, Mexico, and how they relate to the revolutionary communities there.

Austin Public Library & KOOP will share peace, love and air conditioning as we host a special indoor Woodstock tribute concert from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 17 at the Austin Central Library to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic celebration that took place in August 1969 in Bethel, New York.  Can't attend in person?  No worries!  The performances will also be broadcast live over the airwaves at 91.7 FM & www.koop.org.
