And the other is LEAD - Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability
One their interns at VSA Texas, Adrianna is doing a presentation and she will join us on the Austin Artists show to talk about her specific presentation:
Blackness, Disability, And Higher Education
This is a performative essay on blackness, disability, and graduate school. The presenter will use several characters to share her experience as a black disabled graduate student. This was originally developed as a research paper and evolved into this one woman performative essay. There will be discussion among educators and administrators about how to better engage with their minority students with disabilities in classroom settings and in professional settings during their graduate school program enrollment.
