(We. can only speak for ourselves &.this show, but we believe words have weight and we would like to lighten things.  We dint want to use the prefix 'dis' in anything but the word: discourse.

Dis Latin prefix meaning “apart,” “asunder,” “away,” “utterly,” or having a privative, negative, or reversing force (see de-, un-2.); used freely, especially with these latter senses, as an English formative: disability; disaffirm; disbar; disbelief; discontent;

(Which can lead people to disenchanted, discouraged , disgruntled, disenfranchised and ultimately disrespected and disengaged.

We don't want any of that!  We are all better than that and owe each other more than that.

We will not be using the the words ' disabled '. or 'disability. / disabilities' .  We would like to see a cultural shift to use the words : 'enabled' 'uniquely enabled ' or something  empowering. )

or in a hashtag : #IncredAbility

We have taken sensitivity training for EMT and trying to navigate with blindfolds and in wheelchairs is a challenge to say the least.  It takes incredible resolve and dedication and courage to just through the basic parts of the day we often take for granted.  It takes incredible Abilities!

Complete respect!
